New HPDVR Release Focuses on the Expansion of Video Production Hardware Performance and Display Capabilities

Boulder, Colorado - Boulder Imaging has just released version 4.1 of its Quazar high performance digital video recording (HPDVR) platform. Based upon ever growing customer requirements, version 4.1 is packed with eight new powerful capabilities to provide an even more optimized user experience than its 4.0 predecessor. “Boulder Imaging is committed to identifying, meeting, and anticipating future recording and analysis needs of our customers. The Quazar 4.1 release is no exception to this commitment,” says founder and CTO Carlos Jorquera. “In addition, I am very excited to demonstrate the Quazar 4.1 at the Full Motion Video Conference to be held in Washington D.C., September 9th and 10th.”

New Features
Quazar 4.1 offers a number of new features and functions including advanced de-interlacing; per-input and global timestamp offset and overlays; secure export for “peace of mind” sharing of recording data; complete recording destination customization with built-in metadata to automatically create custom file names, directory structures, and recording destination options to define the directory structure and file name; global settings to allow for customization of Quazar options and the ability to have them populated across all of the system’s users; post processing enhancements including the ability to accurately display high-speed video frame numbers so the operator can catch the action in just the right spot. There are also quick keys for marking in and out points in the timeline for easy and accurate post-processing editing; Intel Nehalem architecture support that allows for simultaneous multi-threading for remarkable processing power; and expanded video output support for up to eight independent monitor outputs.
